You’re perfect for this role if…
You enjoy solving hard problems that have both product and technical ambiguity
You have strong engineering fundamentals, code efficiently, and you know what you're great at and what you're less great at
You dislike meetings and would much rather focus your time on building, being productive, and shipping code
You thrive when you have autonomy, own as many of the details as possible, and project manage your own work
You're in SF or you're willing to relocate, you love working in-person, and you're serious about joining us to build a culture we'll all love
Must-have qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on and extensive TypeScript proficiency
Proficiency with React.
Have great written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
Proficiency with Next.js.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL and at least one cloud service provider for backend.
Experience building AI products
Experience building developer tools
Experience working with browser internals like Chrome DevTools Protocol

Company Launches Momentic - Automated testing with AI
Hey everyone 👋 We’re Wei-Wei and Jeff and we're building Momentic . We're on a mission to make testing easy and fast for developers. TL;DR Developers author E2E tests 10X faster with Momentic’s low-code editor. We make AI do the heavy lifting for you: finding elements, reasoning about assertions, visual comparisons, and even generating whole test cases!
Testing still sucks! The average developer today still spends hundreds of hours every year writing and maintaining test suites in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. Existing no-code solutions like Browserstack and Tricentis are often unreliable and difficult to use, forcing teams to fallback on manual QA. The bottom line is: testing slows you down , and all companies eventually encounter a tradeoff between velocity and quality.

Meet the team
We’re Wei-Wei and Jeff - two software engineers who dreaded testing so much we founded a company to do it for us 😂. We-Wei was a founding engineer at Nashi and then a staff engineer at Density, leading product engineering and product reliability. Jeff led testing at Robinhood and enterprise quality at Retool, and saw first-hand how lack of testing can impact a company’s bottom line.
