Position Summary:

The Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Mint Cannabis’s multi-state compliance program. This position will be responsible for providing support and coordinating efforts to ensure that we operate within all state and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations across all divisions of the business. 


Responsibilities:

  • Supports management of regulatory compliance for all business lines across all of the states we operate in
  • Supports management of employee licensing for the state and auditing, in partnership with HR licensing and compliance department.
  • Supports management of and ensuring state compliance training manuals and required trainings are up to date, in partnership with compliance, and management teams.
  • Supports management of state compliance SOPs 
  • Supports the internal mock audit program. Assists operations in evaluating observations, and root cause analysis. Aids in the development of corrective action. Performs follow-up on audit observations. Tracks responses, and monitors implementation. 
  • Participate in the evaluation and changes to processes and procedures upon regulatory updates and or State deficiencies.
  • Support development and implementation of strategies to achieve organizational goals 
  • Support training and development of teams and facilities across all lines of business
  • Support opening of new locations
  • Accurately and promptly maintain records and reports.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, work collectively and respectfully with other team members.
  • Assist the legal team as necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent) as required by state law.
  • Knowledge of applicable cannabis laws, rules, and regulations preferred.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
  • Ability to interact with auditors and regulators.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; sophisticated interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop strong internal relationships, influence others and work as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced proficiency using Google suite and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance.


Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent  (preferred).
  • Compliance or legal certifications a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity required for document handling, typing, and digital filing.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for document storage or transport.


Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a corporate or administrative office setting.
  • Minimal noise and exposure to dispensary or warehouse environments may occur.
  • PPE may be required when visiting operational sites.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional local or regional travel required (e.g., store visits, audits, or compliance reviews).
