Social Marketing Executive

Avani Pattaya Resort · On-site

About this role

Job Location:

Avani Pattaya Resort

At Avani, we’re all about finding that perfect balance — between cool and kind, design and function, service and privacy. We’ve built our hotels and resorts around this philosophy: vibrant social spaces that vibe with the day, stylish rooms that simply work, and honest, locally inspired food. We embrace an upbeat service culture that genuinely respects the art of hospitality.

With a growing portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia, Avani is a brand on the move. If you take real pride in the little things — and believe that a warm welcome and a genuine smile make all the difference — you’ll fit right in here.

1. Position Purpose

The Social Media Content Creator is an executive-level position within the Marketing team responsible for producing regular, engaging and brand-relevant content for the hotel’s social media channels.

The role will manage the content production process from concept development and filming to video editing, photography, caption writing and final content delivery.

The position is essential to ensure that the hotel maintains a consistent social media presence, responds quickly to trends and activities, and regularly promotes its rooms, dining outlets, spa, events and key hotel experiences.

2. Business Justification

Social media, particularly short-form video, is an important channel for increasing hotel awareness, attracting potential guests and supporting hotel promotions.

Producing three to four videos per week requires dedicated time for planning, coordination, filming, editing, caption writing and revisions. These tasks cannot be managed effectively as an occasional additional responsibility alongside existing marketing duties.

A dedicated Social Media Content Creator will allow the hotel to:

  • Maintain a consistent and active presence on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, especially video-form content
  • Produce timely content for hotel promotions, events and activities.
  • Support rooms, restaurants, bars, spa and other revenue-generating areas.
  • Respond quickly to relevant social media trends.
  • Build and maintain an updated hotel-owned photo and video library.

This role does not replace professional production for major campaigns. It provides the hotel with the regular, day-to-day content required between professional shoots.

3. Key Job Responsibilities

Content Planning

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop the monthly social media content calendar.
  • Create content ideas based on hotel priorities, promotions, events and social media trends.
  • Prepare simple concepts, scripts, storyboards or shot lists before filming.

Video and Photography Production

  • Film and edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
  • Take photographs of rooms, facilities, food and beverage, spa, events, team members and hotel experiences.
  • Capture the hotel’s key selling points, atmosphere and lifestyle offering.
  • Add suitable music, subtitles, text, transitions and other editing elements.
  • Adapt content into the correct size and format for each platform.

Caption and Content Preparation

  • Write engaging captions for video and photo content.
  • Include relevant key messages, calls to action, hashtags and location tags.
  • Ensure that all content follows the hotel’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Submit content to the Marketing Manager for review and approval.

Event and Real-Time Coverage

  • Attend hotel events, promotions and activities to capture photos and videos.
  • Produce Stories, behind-the-scenes content and event recap videos.
  • Provide timely or same-day content where required.
  • Be available for occasional evening, weekend or public holiday events depending on the hotel’s schedule.

Department Coordination

  • Coordinate with hotel departments regarding filming locations, products, props and participating team members.
  • Ensure that areas and products are properly prepared before filming.
  • Conduct filming without negatively affecting hotel operations or the guest experience.

Content Library Management

  • Organise raw footage, photographs and edited content in the hotel’s shared content library.
  • Maintain clear file names and folder structures.
  • Ensure that the hotel retains access to all original and completed content.

4. Scope of Deliverables

Weekly Deliverables

  • 3-4 completed short-form videos.
  • Captions for each completed video.
  • Supporting photographs and social media Stories where relevant.
  • Content delivered according to the agreed content calendar.

Monthly Deliverables

  • Approximately 12-15 completed short-form videos.
  • Regular videography and photography covering rooms, dining, spa, facilities, events and lifestyle experiences.
  • Content supporting hotel promotions and business priorities.
  • Updated and properly organised photo and video files.
  • New content ideas and suitable trend recommendations.

Event Deliverables

Depending on the event or activity:

  • Pre-event promotional content.
  • Event-day photographs and videos.
  • Real-time Stories or behind-the-scenes content.
  • Highlight or recap videos after the event.

The number of deliverables may be adjusted according to hotel campaigns, events and business requirements.

5. Suggested Performance Indicators

Performance may be evaluated based on:

  • Completion of 3-4 quality videos per week.
  • Timely delivery according to the content calendar.
  • Quality of filming, photography, editing and captions.
  • Consistency with hotel brand guidelines.
  • Effective support for hotel promotions and events.
  • Ability to communicate the hotel’s key selling points.
  • Social media reach, video views, engagement, shares and saves.
  • Effective coordination with hotel departments.
  • Proper organisation of the hotel’s content library.
  • A number of engagement and follower growth
