Job Description
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Generator Operations
- Ensure continuous and stable power supply to the resort at all times.
- Supervise generator start/stop, synchronization, and load sharing operations.
- Monitor generator parameters including voltage, frequency, load, fuel, oil pressure, and temperatures.
- Ensure standby generators are always ready for emergency use.
B. Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)
- Implement and monitor the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all Generators, RO Plants, STP, Fire Pumps & Waste Management Equipment.
- Ensure timely service such as oil changes, filter replacements, coolant checks, and belt inspections.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs for audits.
C. Fuel Management
- Monitor daily fuel consumption and maintain fuel log sheets.
- Ensure proper fuel transfer procedures and prevent spillages.
- Coordinate fuel ordering and stock control with Engineering and Finance.
D. Team Supervision & Reporting
- Supervise and guide powerhouse technicians during shifts.
- Prepare duty rosters, overtime records, and attendance.
- Report abnormalities, breakdowns, and major repairs immediately to the Chief Engineer.
E. Safety, Compliance & Environment
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and SOPs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure proper handling of fuel, lubricants, and waste oil in line with environmental standards.
F. Store Control & Asset Protection
- Ensure critical spare parts for generators RO Plants, STP, Fire Pumps & Waste Management Equipment are available at all times.
- Control issuance of tools and spares from the Engineering Store.
- Prevent unauthorized removal of equipment or materials.
