Review Coordinators have a unique role in supporting New Zealanders that touches the lives of most people at some point in their journey with the Ministry of Social Development. We do a lot of different things, and we're proud that we play a very important role in people’s lives every day.

The Opportunity | Te arawātea

 

As a Review Coordinator in this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end administrative coordination of the review of decision process within your assigned portfolio. You will provide high-quality administrative support such as organising hearings, including booking schedules and managing details.

 

You will play an important key role within the Review of Decision team, helping the Ministry achieve its review targets and deliver strong outcomes.

 

This role is suited to an individual who is serious about committing to long term learning and building a career in a specialised public service environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • confidence with building strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting operational efficiency.
  • the ability to be a fast learner with a focus on efficiency.
  • a strong understanding of privacy, Capable of handling sensitive and complex confidentiality, with a commitment to protecting information.
  • strong communication skills - written and verbal.
  • confidence managing client requests and maintaining accurate, well-organised records.
  • experience using business systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
