The Innovation & Transformation team sits within the Institute of Digital Government (IDG), which is the public service capability-building function within SNDG. Our mandate is to build digital, data and AI capabilities across the Government.

What you’ll be doing:As a Senior Manager in the Innovation & Transformation team, you will lead digital training initiatives while managing broader agency transformation projects. You will design and implement learning programmes, evaluate training effectiveness, and drive digital upskilling efforts across government agencies.
In this role, you will propose and implement ways to improve existing training approaches and processes, contributing to quantifiable improvements in digital literacy, operational efficiency, and addressing skills gaps at the whole-of-government level. This role demands strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and effective stakeholder management.
Key programmes include:1. Reviewing and implementing digital, data and AI literacy programmes and interventions across the whole Government;
2. Developing the strategy, interventions and programmes to level up leaders’ and managers’ digital competencies; and
3. Partner with priority agencies to diagnose team level workflow pain points, scope transformation opportunities, and support implementation of AI- and digital-enabled interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Independent programme leadership: Run programmes independently, making interventions and recommendations that result in quantifiable benefits exceeding costs as compared to the status quo.
- Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to capability and transformation processes, including diagnosing workflow pain points, scoping practical interventions, and supporting adoption across agencies.
- Programme Execution: See through programmes in well-defined problem spaces independently, with minimal supervision. Handle regular projects with clear problem statements where stakeholder interests are broadly aligned.
- Collaboration and ability to drive outcomes: Work well and contribute effectively to the team. Coordinate seamlessly within the team, discussing issues comfortably, clearly, and concisely. Display openness towards constant improvements, applying skills and knowledge to drive better outcomes for projects and teams.
- Strong technical acumen with practical judgement: Strong knowledge of AI, digital tools, process design, and implementation trade-offs, with the ability to translate between agency needs and workable solutions.
- Strategic Thinking: Understand broader developments and the operating context well. Consider longer-term implications of relevant policy developments and integrate them effectively into considerations.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders well in most instances, displaying initiative and a track record of making things happen. Seek occasional assistance in navigating complex situations.
- Problem Diagnosis and Solution: Diagnose problems with today's systems, provide clear problem statements, and actualize ideas to address them.
- Background in relevant field(s) (e.g., Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Business Management, Economics).
- Proven experience in product management, workforce development, or related digital transformation roles.
- Strong interest in and familiarity with technology, digital tools, or AI-enabled work
- Some experience in Government preferred
