General Purpose
As a Digital Product Analyst – Specification Technology, you will bridge furniture product development and software engineering by translating configurable furniture systems into digital requirements for MillerKnoll’s specification technology platforms, including CET. You will work with Product Management, Engineering, Catalogs, and Development teams to define product rules, configuration logic, and designer workflows that enable accurate, intuitive digital specification experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Define functional requirements, business rules, and user stories for configurable furniture products and digital specification tools.
Translate product engineering, planning guides, and manufacturing constraints into technical requirements for software development.
Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Catalog, QA, and Development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Support new product launches by defining configuration behavior, validation rules, and expected user experiences.
Validate implemented functionality through acceptance testing and collaboration with Quality Assurance.
Identify opportunities to improve designer experience, simplify configuration, and reduce product complexity.
Support Agile planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, engineering, product development, or specification software.
Experience translating business needs into functional software requirements.
Experience with configurable products, commercial furniture, CAD/BIM, CET, or related design technologies preferred.
Experience working within Agile software development environments preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand complex configurable products and translate them into logical business rules.
Experience writing user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Customer-focused mindset with passion for improving digital user experiences.
