Midwest Hose is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on stainless steel and other alloys used in industrial hose assemblies, fittings, and custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, takes pride in precision workmanship, and can consistently meet quality and production standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other metals.
Weld thin-wall tubing, hose assemblies, fittings, and custom fabricated components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards.
Use measuring tools, gauges, and fixtures to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components before welding.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with other fabrication or production duties as needed.
QualificationsQualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
Experience welding stainless steel and thin-wall tubing is highly desirable.
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Bend, kneel, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications
AWS welding certification is a plus.
Experience with hose assembly manufacturing or industrial fabrication.
Forklift or overhead crane experience is beneficial but not required.
