Production Warehouse Associate

About this role

Responsible for all hose assemblies that come into the store/warehouse. Responsible for product handling from receiving through shipping. Daily loading and unloading of the finished product, staging of raw materials, as well as maintaining inventory in a fast-paced team environment.

Salary: $20 - $28 hourly

Primary Duties:

  • Build hose assemblies and assist with testing and finishing.
  • Must be able to utilize a wide variety of tools and machines depending on the assembly being built.
  • Perform quality checks on all assemblies built before leaving the store/warehouse.
  • Process orders and production orders in the system.
  • Look up specs and print PTS labels via Parker’s website.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner, including item location and invoicing.
  • Fabrication and use of complex machinery for kitting manufacturing may be required.
  • Receive products, including unloading.
  • Verify incoming products & receive them into the system.
  • Allocate, distribute, pull/and pick a product in the proper location.
  • Operate RF scanner, if required.
  • Package and stage materials or products for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Ship products utilizing various methods from national carriers to customer vehicles.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Administer quality control, ensuring the damaged product is not received or sent.
  • Make local pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate in a positive manner with delivery personnel and team members to ensure proper flow of orders & products.
  • Complete forklift/safety orientation course(s); operate forklift as needed.
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.
  • Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship-building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and the Internet, with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus.
  • Mechanical background and forklift certification (applicable state certification) are a plus.
  • Provide superior customer service and support company goals.
  • Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employees must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.

 Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Working conditions involve a fast-paced warehouse environment containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements.
