Control Panel Assembly Technician - Motion Solutions
About this role
Individuals are required to perform day to day functions in the Motion Solutions department building electrical panels and pneumatic assemblies, in support of co-workers and customer needs for products and services provided by the company and coordinate these efforts with other company departments when needed. This position reports to the Branch Manager or Director of Motion Solutions.

Primary Duties:
- Create, build, test and install panels.
- Build electrical panels to UL508A specification.
- Build pneumatic assemblies to MFCP’s standards & drawing specifications.
- Assemble per instructions or drawings, test and label as required.
- Manage appropriate documentation of projects.
- Assist with IPS builds and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized area.
- Make sure appropriate paperwork is filled out, as instructed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- Must be able to read electrical drawings.
- Have a basic knowledge of tools & machinery such as, cut-off saw, drill press, automated tapping machine, grinder, hand tools, etc.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Utilize good communication skills and present yourself in a professional manner.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Individual must be a team player.
- Must promote goodwill both internally and externally, inter-departmentally.
- Maintain all company owned assets and equipment as if your own.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
- High school graduate, associate degree, or some college preferred, and/or one-year related experience or training. Experience in lieu of education is acceptable.
- Individuals must complete training courses as required by the company to ensure they have proper product knowledge.
- Develop a working knowledge of the industries we serve.
- Must be over the age of 18 for this position; if driving is required, must be over the age of 21.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive. Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring, and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers.
