In Spain, the subsidiary established in 2022 oversees several projects under construction and a rapidly expanding pipeline, with the ambition to reach 500 MWp of operational assets by 2030.

 

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of solar PV projects across Spain. The position is based in Madrid, with frequent visits to construction sites, and reports directly to the Country Director Spain. You will collaborate closely with both the Spanish and French project teams (Legal, Finance, Engineering, Procurement…).

This role is critical for ensuring the technical, financial, and administrative success of our projects—from tendering and contract negotiation through construction, commissioning, and final handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

· Prepare EPC tender packages, lead commercial and contractual negotiations, and oversee contract execution.

· Coordinate preliminary site activities (topography, geotechnical studies, hydrology assessments, pull-out tests, etc.).

· Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and cost controls.

· Run the project Financial Model in order to evaluate projects’ profitability

· Coordinate with the Financing team in order to secure funding for the project

· Oversee progress of works, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, quality, and contractual obligations.

· Ensure compliance with regulations, insurance requirements, quality standards, HSE protocols, and environmental guidelines.

Technical & Administrative Coordination

· Review and ensure the quality of project deliverables. · Coordinate procurement and subcontracting activities.Manage relationships with grid operators and local authorities to secure permits, licenses, and all administrative approvals required for commissioning.

· Certify contractual and administrative milestones.

Site Supervision

· Conduct regular site inspections to validate construction progress and quality.

· Lead weekly and monthly coordination meetings with EPC contractors, Owner's Engineer, HSE managers, and other stakeholders.

Reporting & Handover

· Provide periodic progress reports to management.

· Manage the transfer of completed projects to the operations team.

Miscellaneous

· Provide project execution expertise to the M&A team, helping them assess deals

Support other departments (development, engineering, finance, commercial) when needed.

Requirements

Education & Experience

· Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Energy Engineering.

· 7+ years of experience in project management for PV plant construction, ideally from the EPC/contractor side.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).

· Knowledge of PVsyst, QGIS and AutoCAD is a plus.

Languages

· Fluent in Spanish and English.

· French is an additional asset.
