About this role
Meta is seeking a Silicon Sourcing Manager to drive strategic engagement with external silicon partners and semiconductor suppliers supporting Meta's products across AR, VR, and other consumer hardware products. In this role, you will serve as the primary interface between Meta's engineering teams and external vendors, managing technical and commercial relationships to ensure partner readiness, roadmap alignment, and on-time delivery of silicon solutions that power Meta's next-generation devices and data center platforms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary program management interface between Meta's internal silicon engineering teams and external semiconductor partners across custom ASIC, SoC, SiP, and other technologies
- Define and manage joint program schedules with silicon partners, tracking milestones from architecture definition through tape-out, bring-up, qualification, and mass production readiness
- Identify, assess, and communicate program risks related to partner execution, including design schedule slips, process technology readiness, and supply chain constraints
- Drive partner readiness reviews and executive-level status communications, synthesizing complex technical and operational data into clear, actionable updates for leadership
- Coordinate cross-functional supply management with MPMs and operations teams to ensure that silicon partner agreements and deliverables support product launch commitments
- Develop and refine engagement models, escalation paths, and governance frameworks for managing multiple concurrent silicon partner relationships
- Track and report on partner performance metrics, including schedule adherence, quality outcomes, and technical milestone completion, to drive continuous improvement
- Support the negotiation of technical scopes of work and partnership agreements in collaboration with sourcing and legal counterparts
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in program management, technical partnership management, or engineering program management within the semiconductor or consumer electronics industry
- Experience managing external silicon or semiconductor supplier relationships across multiple phases of chip development and mass production
- Experience using data-driven approaches to track program health, identify execution gaps, and drive resolutions across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of driving alignment between internal roadmaps and external partner capabilities to meet product launch commitments
- Experience managing silicon partnerships across geographically distributed teams and international suppliers
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Familiarity with supply management systems
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
