Job Summary

The Supervisor, Logistics leads daily warehouse operations by directing team leads and frontline staff to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material flow across receiving, storage, and shipping functions. This role translates operational priorities into clear execution, drives accountability for performance and inventory accuracy, and ensures all transactions and processes are completed in compliance with company standards. The Supervisor partners with the Warehouse Manager to resolve issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain consistent execution across all logistics activities.

Essential Duties

Supervise and develop team leads; provide daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback
Cascade operational priorities and communications from the Warehouse Manager into clear, actionable guidance
Set daily priorities, assign work, and manage staffing to meet throughput, accuracy, and quality targets
Monitor team performance and enforce accountability to safety standards, procedures, and company values
Provide upward feedback on operational issues, risks, and team insights
Oversee day-to-day warehouse floor operations, including storage, organization, and material flow to production
Ensure inventory transactions are executed accurately and in real time within ERP/WMS systems
Maintain organized, labeled storage areas with adherence to inventory control practices (e.g., FIFO/LIFO)
Ensure safe operation of equipment and compliance with all safety requirements
Oversee inbound receiving activities, including scheduling, inspection, discrepancy resolution, and put-away
Oversee outbound shipping operations, ensuring accurate picking, packing, documentation, and on-time dispatch
Identify, investigate, and escalate material discrepancies, inventory issues, and process breakdowns
Support inventory accuracy through proper transaction execution and cycle count participation
Maintain working proficiency across all warehouse functions and provide cross-functional coverage as needed

QualificationsEducation
Required

High School or GED

Preferred

2 Year / Associate Degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

Experience
Required

3 years of progressive warehouse or distribution experience with demonstrated growth in responsibility.
1 year of experience in a lead, team lead, or supervisory capacity in a warehouse, receiving, or manufacturing environment.

Preferred

1 year of direct experience in an inbound receiving, dock operations, or materials management role.
1 year of experience with ERP systems in a receiving, inventory, or order management context.
Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

Ability to obtain Crane and Forklift Certifications by the end of the probationary period. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Leadership & Team Supervision

Demonstrated ability to supervise a team lead layer and, through them, a team of Logistics Team Members across a warehouse logistics function.
Skill in intent-based leadership — clearly communicating the 'why' behind priorities and directives so team leads can make sound independent decisions and lead their teams without constant escalation.
Proven ability to cascade communications reliably: receiving direction from the Warehouse Manager and ensuring it is accurately translated, delivered, and understood at every level of the team, down to individual LTMs on the floor or dock.
Ability to close the feedback loop — actively gathering ground-level insight, discrepancies, and operational realities from team leads and surfacing them to the Warehouse Manager accurately and without delay.
Skill in setting daily priorities, managing assignments, monitoring throughput and accuracy, and holding team members accountable to Mesa’s standards.
Ability to conduct performance conversations, support corrective action, and contribute to team member development in coordination with the Warehouse Manager.

Cross-Functional Warehouse & Logistics Knowledge

Working knowledge of all warehouse logistics functions: general floor operations including material storage, staging, bin management, and production line support; inbound receiving including inspection, documentation, and discrepancy resolution; and outbound shipping including order fulfillment, carrier management, and BOL preparation.
Willingness and demonstrated ability to develop proficiency across all functional areas and assume supervisory responsibility for any function when assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Knowledge of material handling, storage organization, FIFO/LIFO discipline, bin mapping, and warehouse housekeeping standards.
Understanding of production material flow and how warehouse logistics operations support manufacturing schedules and field service needs.
Knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle count support requirements, and WMS/ERP transaction accuracy standards.
Familiarity with carrier management, dock safety, inbound freight coordination, and outbound shipping compliance requirements including Hazmat/DOT where applicable.

Systems, Safety & Compliance

Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems for real-time inventory transactions, receiving, shipping, and order management.
Proficiency in shipping software and carrier portals as applicable to the assigned functional area.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for scheduling, reporting, and team communications.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, company safety policies, dock safety requirements, and powered industrial equipment safety standards.
Ability to ensure full team compliance with safety, carrier, regulatory, and quality standards at all times.
Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English.
