Position Summary
The Commercial Operations Specialist provides day-to-day operations support to the Business Services Department. This position assists with commercial loan processing and funding, loan and collateral administration, third-party tracking, business account and cash management support, and other operational functions. This role works with internal teams, members, and third-party vendors to ensure documentation and system information are accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial Loan Processing & Funding Support: Assist with processing, documentation, closing, and funding of commercial loans. Review files for required documentation and approved conditions; prepare or coordinate loan documentation; order required third-party reports; assist with funding and post-closing activities; and ensure loan information is accurately entered into the system.
Loan & Collateral Administration: Support ongoing loan and collateral administration, including insurance tracking, property tax tracking, UCC and collateral documentation, ticklers, exceptions, and other required follow-up. Assist with identifying and resolving missing or inaccurate information.
Operational & Department Support: Maintain accurate records; assist with reports, system maintenance, data validation, audit preparation, special projects, account opening, process payoff/payment, and other Business Services operational activities as assigned.
SBA Loan Servicing & Administration Support: Provide operational support for SBA loans, including maintaining loan and borrower information in applicable SBA systems, assisting with required servicing activities, and assisting with SBA reporting and other administrative requirements.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
A college degree or demonstrated experience in the duties outlined.
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
• Knowledge of business lending practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and various Office products.
• Skilled in Abrigo, Enable, LaserPro, Symitar, and similar platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with loan origination software or systems is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Each grade is assigned a salary range which consists of a minimum, midpoint, and maximum rate. The Commercial Operations Specialist position is a Grade 8.
- Target Range: $31.61 to $39.52
The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications.
