Solution Engineer

Munich · On-site€90k – €200k + EquityRelocation Support Available

About this role

As Mercura’s first Solution Engineer, you will be the technical cornerstone of enterprise sales, embedding deeply into customer environments to prove that Mercura works on their data, in their context. You will sit at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering, shaping how the company wins complex deals and influencing what gets built next.

What you'll do

  • Own the technical side of every major deal, from the first demo to a signed customer.
  • Get into the customer’s actual workflows and identify the cases that best show what Mercura can do for them.
  • Join sales conversations as the credible counterpart on integrations, data, security, and architecture, resolving concerns that stand between the customer and a buying decision.
  • Set up demos and proof-of-concepts on the customer’s real data, building prototypes that prove Mercura works in their specific context rather than an idealized one.
  • Feed deal insights back to the team, judging whether a request is demo-only, a quick customer-specific build, or a core product need, and translating that into clear, prioritized input.

What Mercura is looking for

  • 2+ years in Solution Engineering, technical customer success, technical consulting, or a similar role.
  • Strong technical foundations: you can reason about customer systems and integrations, build convincing proofs yourself, and write code in JavaScript and Python; you are comfortable with APIs and have a feel for integration architectures.
  • Native-level German communication skills with the ability to explain clearly, present to senior stakeholders, and stay composed when a demo is tested in real time.
  • A track record of hearing the real problem behind a customer request, translating complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and making abstract products feel tangible through demos that close deals.
  • Commercial judgment to read a room, identify the real blocker, speak the customer’s language, and move deals forward.
  • A desire to work in an in-person, high-intensity environment in Munich.
