About the role
Mercura is building AI software for the backbone of our economy. We are one of the fastest growing companies from YC’s W25 batch and raised a heavily oversubscribed round at one of the highest valuations in our cohort. After surpassing $1M in ARR in under a year, we are looking for team members ready to go all-in to help us reach our next milestone: $10M ARR by the end of 2026. One of our co-founders, Lukas, grew up in a trades family that has been active in the construction industry for over 115 years. Having worked on the construction site himself, he learned first-hand how slow and manual quoting still is in the industry. As an Account Executive , you’ll drive our growth by building trusted customer relationships. In this role, you’ll own your entire sales pipeline - from initial meeting to closing the deal - and help companies transform their productivity with AI. Your key focus will be to demonstrate the value of our product and guide potential customers through their evaluation journey.
What you will be working on
New Business: Qualify and close new customers
Lead Generation: Work closely with our prospecting team to ensure an optimal customer journey and proactively manage your own pipeline
Customer Value: Guide prospects through their evaluation process, build strong customer relationships and develop business cases that clearly demonstrate our product’s value
Sales Process: Conduct demos, handle negotiations, and close deals while continuously improving our sales process
Sales Strategy: Design and implement new strategies to win key accounts and expand into new markets.
Customer Feedback: Gather and share customer insights with the engineering team to drive product innovation
Organizational Development: Build and train a high-performing sales team and scalable sales processes.
What we’re looking for
You have 1+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS/tech sales with a track record of exceeding quota in mid-market/enterprise
You have are confident in leading product demos and translating workflows into clear business value
You communicate professionally and appropriately to executive audiences.
You are resilient, demonstrate grit, and are strong in pipeline management and execution
You are pragmatic, solution-oriented, and motivated to build something and grow with us
Ideally, you have initial experience with construction, supply chain, and the trades
You are willing to work five days a week from our Munich office with a higher intensity than in a 9-5 job, with occasional customer travel
You are native in German and fluent in English

Interview Process
Step 1: Intro call Casual intro meeting with one of the founders to get to know each other and introduce Mercura.
Step 2: Practical exercise & role play 💡 At Mercura, we value our applicants' time. That's why we compensate you with €50 if we ask you to complete a take-home challenge. Two practical exercises to showcase your skills, followed by calls to walk us through your approach, insights, and solution for the exercise. The calls will include role plays in which we simulate the interaction with a customer.
Step 3: Personal fit Interview Meet another co-founder member to get a feel for our culture and working style.
Step 4: On-Site Work alongside the entire team for a day on-site from our Munich office to fully immerse yourself in our culture and collaboration style. This on-site will be paid.
Step 5: Reference checks Please provide 2–3 references so we can gather insights into your strengths and working style.
Step 6: Offer If we see a great fit, you will get an offer, including a competitive compensation package.
