Position Description

Mercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering team as a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze and update equipment criticality utilizing our established process.
  • Audit and develop equipment maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Plan, manage and execute asset inspection and high value maintenance projects.
  • Plan, manage and execute maintenance of business CAPEX projects.
  • Support production, maintenance and project teams as the equipment subject matter expert.
  • Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions.
  • Provide input to long term and annual business plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered with a Canadian Engineering Association (EGBC, APEGA, PEO, etc.) as a P.Eng.
  • Several years experience in the maintenance area with knowledge of best maintenance practices.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work activities with input from a wide cross-section of individuals within the organization.
  • Familiarity with NBIC, API, and ASME codes and standards.

  • The Salary Range for this position is $92,000 - $158,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
