Join our team at the 5000 Parkside Drug & Alcohol Recovery Program in Philadelphia, PA. As a Dispensing LPN you will play a critical role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey by providing medication management, health monitoring, and compassionate clinical care while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your work will help promote recovery, wellness, and hope for those we serve.

As a Dispensing LPN, this position is responsible for assisting in all areas of client care in the opioid treatment program and in compliance with all with Pennsylvania State and Federal laws and regulations. The nurse will ensure that medication is dispensed to clients as prescribed, chart daily, and will monitor client’s response to treatment and medication dosage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
  • Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
  • Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
  • Assess individual response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
  • Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor’s orders, etc., as required
  • Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all individuals, including making outside referrals when necessary
  • Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications)

Earn $33.98 per hour.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
  • Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • Experience with chemically dependent population preferred
  • Current CPR certification
