Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta is one of Canada’s leading academic health centres for pediatric specialty and subspecialty education and research. Working closely with the Stollery Children’s Hospital and community pediatrics in Northern Alberta, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of our community and providing exceptional care for infants, children, youth, and families. This Postdoctoral Scholar position will have the opportunity to work with both local and national multi-disciplinary teams to enhance the health care outcomes of at-risk infants. The appointee will be involved in the research activities related to the Canadian Neonatal Network, Evidence-based Practice Quality Improvement, and other provincial, national and local databases. These studies are currently funded through a CIHR grant and other provincial/local research funding. Training will be provided on advanced methods in various areas such as data analysis, neonatal outcomes and clinical infectious diseases. The position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and working with a diverse and dynamic team.

The annual stipend offered will be consistent with those of other national agencies (CIHR, HSF of Canada), depending on funding and performance. This is a full-time, grant-funded position for a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. The minimum salary begins at $60,000/annum + benefits and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
