The Systems Quality Analyst will lead and maintain Quality, Food Safety, and Management Systems. We're seeking a candidate with experience in the packaging industry, strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, quality management systems, and a proven ability to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and a culture of quality and food safety throughout the organization.

This role will be responsible for managing audits, certifications, process controls, KPI monitoring, documentation systems, and ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and packaging industry standards and requirements.
  • Manage certifications, surveillance audits, recertification audits, and corrective action programs.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
  • Develop, maintain, and control quality system documentation, records, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Monitor and report KPIs related to quality, food safety, compliance, and management systems performance.
  • Drive a strong culture of quality, food safety, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support risk assessments and process validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality and food safety standards.
  • Support initiatives related to IML (In-Mold Labeling) processes and packaging quality requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Systems, Food Safety, or Quality Assurance.
  • Experience within the packaging manufacturing industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
    • FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management Systems
    • Internal and external audit programs
    • Process control and continuous improvement methodologies
    • CAPA and non-conformance management
    • Quality documentation and record control
  • Experience managing certifications and compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management tools.
