As Food Safety & Sanitation, QMS & Digi lead you will ensure the food safety programs meet not only McCain requirements, but also those of key customers and regulators. You bring credible expertise, provide leadership and oversight related to Food Safety, including HACCP, micro risk assessments, environmental monitoring programs, thermal validation, allergen management, foreign material controls, hygienic equipment design, capability development and culture.
Responsibilities:
Implement, in partnership with Plants teams, the standardized programs (HACCP, Food Defense Program, GMPs rules, Food safety training and application, micro risk assessments, Hygienic zoning, EMP (Environmental Monitoring Programs), thermal validation, allergen management …).
Perform and maintain Glass book
Management of pest control
Yearly evaluation of external suppliers
Perform and / or validate risk assessments of processes, equipment’s, products, ingredients, including changes coming from the Change process.
Design and execute validation studies in line with regional standards. Assure the CCPs are under control, if needed implement PCQI check.
Ensure validation and verification are in place, develop and maintain mapping of all equipment’s including ongoing efficiency and replacement cycles.
Contribute to Engineering projects within Food Safety design assessment, in partnership with the regional FS&Q in Equipment Design Lead
Contribute to projects within Food Safety design assessment, in partnership with the manufacturing, the maintenance, regional FS&Q...
Contribute to R&D / Marketing projects within Food Safety & Quality design assessment, in partnership with the regional FS&Q Technical Account Manager.
Follow the guidance of the regional team to ensure compliance with applicable Food safety regulatory requirements (EU, National, Local, including FSMA) and implement the adaptations required.
Be knowledgeable on Food safety requirements of the standards (BRC, IFS, AIB, SQMS, KEFSQ, and ensure compliance (in collaboration with regional FS&Q teams).
Implement validation and verification of the Master Sanitation Scheduling (MSS) Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP), track effectiveness through robust pre-operational inspection programs and indicators. Share the outcome to the plant Teams, identify deviation, perform RCA and drive CAPAs in collaboration with the plant team
Drive a quality first mindset at the very earliest points; provide data driven measures and share trends analysis relating to food safety performance with Plant Leadership Teams.
Perform risk analysis, sampling plan (ex: AQL), recommend disposition of product, and ensure RCA and Food safety CAPAs are effective, closed and validated.
Champion a strong Food Safety and Quality culture across the organization, creating an environment where decisions are made in line with the McCain quality value, and drive a technical understanding of food safety & quality, risks and impacts into the business.
Implement and maintain, an efficient QMS within the regional tool (workflow, automatic versioning, verification, distribution, archiving, …)
Manage complaints by supporting investigation, tracking corrective actions, local KPIs trending.
Manage non-conformities by supporting investigation, tracking corrective actions, local KPIs trending.
Manage changes issued from Change management system
Ensure an efficient traceability system is in place and tested through mock recall, EWE exercises.
Deploy the Crisis management program assuring an up-to-date Crisis manual, effective training of key players, yearly mock recall exercise.
Ensure the preparation of the management review
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in related industry, with extensive knowledge on quality management system principles, audit management as digital tools. Batchelor degree education in scientific field as chemistry, microbiology, or relevant to this role.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Certified ISO9001 lead auditor, with demonstrated proficiency in auditing techniques.
4. Expert in CAPA, change management as root cause investigation.
5. Expertise in the following standards AIB, BRc, IFS, halal, kosher, and applicable customer standards
6. Fluent in English, and proficiency in French, Dutch, is an asset
7. Expertise in leveraging ‘AI’ is an advantage
8. HACCP certification required. FSMA PCQI and GFSI (IFS, BRC, SQF or FSSC 22000) certifications preferred.
9. Understands and can apply microbiological principles. In depth foodborne pathogen knowledge.
10. Knowledge of Equipment design, sanitation, validation (Ex: EHEDG hygienic design).
11. Knowledge in chemistry with specifics in sanitation applications
