- Lead the development and execution of capital engineering projects across McCain’s European Snacking facilities.
- Oversee the design, review, and implementation of equipment and systems in accordance with corporate engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, and finance stakeholders to define project scope and business requirements.
- Evaluate and implement new process technologies to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and safety performance.
- Develop capital project justifications and prepare Requests for Expenditure Authorization (REAs).
- Manage contractor and supplier selection processes, including tender documentation, bid evaluation, and negotiations in partnership with Procurement.
- Coordinate design inputs and technical documentation between project teams, suppliers, and contractors.
- Conduct supplier and site visits to ensure equipment designs align with plant requirements and operational needs.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Resolve technical issues, support commissioning activities, and provide technical expertise to manufacturing facilities across the network.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related discipline).
- Master’s degree, MBA, and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of project management experience within food manufacturing, food processing, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience within snack food, appetizers, or similar food processing operations is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of process documentation, including process flow diagrams, block diagrams, project schedules, and cost tracking.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and standard project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 40-50% across Europe.
