The Day Shift Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance support of packaging, greenhouse machinery and building while adhering to all Food Safety requirements.
The shift is: Tuesday to Saturday 7 AM until 430 PM

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for plant and building maintenance set forth by the facility maintenance manager.
- Follows plant maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedule.
- Insures equipment, tools, and spare parts are accounted for and secured when not in use.
- Participates in preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance at facility.
- Responsible for maintaining spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel.
- Maintaining qualifications through ongoing training programs of new and existing equipment.
- Follows plant maintenance procedures.
- Ensure the efficient and reliable maintenance of the plant for optimized production levels.
- Requires a high degree of ingenuity to support the optimization of plant equipment through performance of corrective/preventative maintenance and the implantation of new products and methods.
- Perform the routine maintenance and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Ensure materials and supplies are available to complete daily assigned maintenance.
- Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
Education/Background Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and formal trade school course work required.
- Electromechanical troubleshooting (controls, components, control wiring diagnosis, current testers, multimeters.
- Functional understanding of electrical terminology and system troubleshooting procedures.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a technical specialist.
- Mechanical comprehension and functional understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives and motors, bearings, fasteners and fittings, and hardware.
- Previous related work experience required
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Team player with positive work attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Environment includes greenhouses and expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature range between 60 -100°F. The background noise approaches 85 dcbs.
- Greenhouse environment with variable and fluctuating temperatures based on season with high temperatures in the summer months.
- Must be able to work around bees.
- Fluctuating hours and schedules subject to greenhouse needs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Limited kneeling, squatting and crawling required.
