About this role
About Massed Compute
Massed Compute is building a modern GPU cloud platform for AI and high-performance compute workloads. Customers choose us when they need high-performance infrastructure with more flexibility, visibility, and support than they get from traditional options. Our work sits at the intersection of AI infrastructure, product design, systems thinking, and customer obsession.
About the role
Massed Compute is looking for its founding GTM leader to build our commercial engine from the ground up.
You'll start hands-on: building pipeline, talking to customers, structuring deals, and closing revenue yourself. At the same time, you'll determine where we win—identifying the customers, workloads, positioning, pricing, and sales motion that can turn early traction into repeatable growth.
As we scale, you'll build the team, systems, and brand around what works. You'll own the commercial funnel end-to-end and serve as a critical link between customers and our product, infrastructure, and capacity decisions.
This is a builder role. We're looking for someone equally comfortable closing a customer, analyzing pipeline economics, sharpening a product narrative, and designing the GTM organization that eventually replaces much of what they initially do themselves.
What success looks like
In your first 8-12 months, you will have helped us identify our highest-value customer segments and workloads, built a healthy pipeline, personally closed meaningful customers, established a GTM operating cadence and forecast we trust, sharpened our positioning, and begun building the team and systems required to scale revenue.
Critically, you will have taken what initially depends on individual effort and judgment and begun turning it into a repeatable commercial engine.
Responsibilities
Personally sell. Build pipeline, run discovery, structure commercial proposals, negotiate, and close. Carry a number before building a team that carries one.
Find the repeatable motion. Determine which customer segments, workloads, and use cases have the strongest product-market fit; translate those learnings into ICP, segmentation, positioning, pricing, and sales playbooks.
Build the commercial operating system. Establish qualification, deal stages, CRM discipline, pipeline management, forecasting, and the metrics leadership uses to run the business.
Win lighthouse customers. Land customers whose brands, workloads, and success stories create credibility and accelerate subsequent deals.
Build the team. Recruit the first GTM hires and establish the talent bar, operating cadence, incentives, and culture for the organization.
Create demand. Build an efficient demand-generation engine across targeted outbound, content, partnerships, events, and other channels that prove effective.
Represent the market internally. Turn customer conversations, competitive intelligence, and pipeline data into actionable input for product roadmap, pricing, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
Build the brand. Establish a differentiated position in AI infrastructure and translate it into a coherent narrative across sales, marketing, partnerships, and external communications.
Qualifications
You may be a good fit if you have…
Personally sold complex, technical products and can point to meaningful revenue you helped create
Helped build or materially improve a GTM motion at a high-growth technology company
The ability to move comfortably between a customer conversation, a pricing model, a CRM pipeline review, and a product discussion
Analytical rigor about segmentation, pricing, funnel economics, and resource allocation
An understanding of how to sell products where technical requirements, infrastructure availability, economics, and customer timelines interact
Strong product instincts and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable feedback without becoming a feature-request router
Aggressive use of AI in your own work and a desire to build an AI-native GTM organization
Strong judgment about what matters and comfort saying no to work that doesn't
The ability to operate with very little structure while creating structure for everyone who comes after you
A strong commercial mindset and financial fluency across contracts, pricing, unit economics, and tradeoffs
Desired background (we encourage you to apply even if you don't check every box)
Typically 10+ years of professional experience, including meaningful experience in GTM, sales, revenue operations, marketing, or customer success at a high-growth technology company. We care more about scope and results than years of experience
Experience at a high-growth technology company, rapidly scaling startup, or similarly demanding environment
Experience working with highly technical products, ideally in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, AI, or adjacent markets
A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Bonus points if you…
Understand the compute landscape and the broader AI infrastructure build-out
Have sold cloud infrastructure, compute, developer infrastructure, or other technical products to sophisticated buyers
Are fluent with AI tools such as Claude Cowork, Claude Code, and Codex
Have experience building AI-enabled GTM workflows or automating part of the commercial stack
Have a background in consulting, venture capital, or private equity paired with evidence you can operate
