Director, Investments

Job Purpose
To execute and manage the allocation of Investment Portfolio to all approved Asset classes and achieve revenue objectives. Assist in aligning Investment Policy parameters for designated asset categories with the policy objectives.

Key Result Areas
•    Primary responsibility for preparing investment proposals for approvals.
•    Develop necessary industry contacts so as to receive preferential access to information and investment opportunities
•    Source, research, analyze and recommend investments with desirable risk return profiles, inline with policy parameters for all asset categories approved under the investment policy. 
•    Deliver revenue budget for the designated asset categories through executing, monitoring and divesting investments
•    Track the performance of the executed Investments in terms of total returns and ensure that they continue to meet the identified risk parameters. 
•    Ensure that the executed investments have desirable diversification, correlation and volatility characteristics in the context of the total Investment Portfolio
•    Review the Investment Policy parameters with respect to designated asset categories and recommend changes if required, to ensure that they remain current in the context of the dynamic investment climate. 
•    Act as backup to Managing Director, FX Derivatives & Investments with respect to management of designated asset categories of Investment Portfolio.
•    Prepare investment portfolio/ liquidity portfolio presentations for the quarterly investment review
•    Develop access to ensure up to date MTM movements are tracked and recommend actions as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•    Masters Degree in Finance/Economics or related disciplines
•    8+ years relevant experience in the international capital markets in designated asset categories
•    Strong numbers orientation
•    Good analytical as well as inter personal and communication skills
