The Systems & Automation Specialist will join the growing MaryRuth’s Workforce Intelligence team, identifying opportunities for automation and building out solutions for our People & Service department, implementing integrations to enable data flow across platforms, and connecting directly with stakeholders to gather feedback and create reliable, scalable processes that save time and increase efficiency company-wide. This is a full-time, salaried, remote position with a compensation range of MXN $38,333 to $40,000/month.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HRIS (Rippling) and additional platform administration and optimization, including data integrity, field configuration, process flows, and troubleshooting.

  • Build and automate workflows across employee lifecycle events using tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make.

  • Develop and improve platform integrations via API and webhook configuration, so data moves efficiently and accurately between systems without manual intervention.

  • Support teams across the organization in setting up infrastructure to enable stakeholders to independently and easily access and pull the reports and data they need.

  • Document live automations and integrations, keeping all knowledge base information and work instructions up-to-date and aligned with current processes.

  • Cross-functional support in customer experience and other business operations.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Travel (<5%) may be required on an as-needed basis with advance notice provided to the employee.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g. Rippling, Deel, Oyster, Workday, Paylocity) is required; Rippling-specific experience is strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to build and implement automations using tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make, with hands-on experience configuring APIs, webhooks, and MCPs; skilled in Python scripting (required).

  • Experience setting up comprehensive reporting infrastructure using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

  • Excellent command of AI tools such as Claude/ClaudeCode.

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (i.e. comfortably able to utilize formulas, pivots tables, macros).

  • Experience working directly with stakeholders across an organization to understand operational needs or gaps and translate them into usable, accessible technical solutions through automations and workflows, preferably supporting People and Customer Experience functions.

  • Familiarity with ETL workflows and how data moves between source systems and reporting layers

  • Experience with version control tools (e.g. Git).

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud or virtual environments such as Azure or Google Colab.

  • Business/professional level of fluency in written and verbal English is required (e.g. B2, C1, C2).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • This role involves sitting most of the time but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
