About this role

• Own the end-to-end product backlog for LMS modules covering:

o Loan lifecycle management
o Repayments, schedules, accruals, prepayments, restructuring
o Charges, fees, penalties
o and GL mappings o Loan events and servicing rules
o Support Integration requirements with Core Banking / Accounting Systems
• Act as the single point of accountability for LMS functional scope and priorities.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into:
o User stories o Functional specifications
o Acceptance criteria
• Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure stories are clear, testable, and implementation-ready for development teams.
• Continuously groom and refine the backlog with stakeholders
• Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring functional intent is correctly implemented.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC and governance processes

Requirements

• 10 plus years of experience in banking / financial services with strong exposure to Loan Management Systems.
• Hands-on experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst / Functional Lead for LMS or loan servicing platforms.
• Strong understanding of:
o Loan lifecycle and servicing processes
o Banking products and operations
o Accounting and financial flows in lending
• Exposure to multiple loan products (Retail, Corporate, MSME, Islamic lending, etc.).
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documents.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to create and review:
o Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
o User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
o Process flows and business rules
• Strong grounding in banking, finance, and business processes.
