Make a real impact and Volunteer as a Counsellor at Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford

Marie Curie is seeking qualified Counsellors to volunteer their expertise in supporting children and young people navigating the emotional landscape of terminal illness and bereavement. This is an opportunity to apply your therapeutic skills in a deeply meaningful setting - helping young individuals process grief, explore emotions, and build resilience during life-altering moments.
 

Availability: 3 hours per week on weekdays

Time: Between 9am-4pm 

Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Maudsley Street, Bradford BD3 9LE

Criteria: Aged 18 or over. Qualified in Counselling

 
What you'll be part of:
  • Provide 2-4 counselling sessions per week
  • Offer counselling support to children and young people affected by terminal illness or bereavement
  • Listen actively and empathetically to those experiencing loss
  • Recognise individual needs, agree goals, review progress and maintain accurate records of sessions in line with Marie Curie procedures
  • Share relevant updates with the Bereavement team
  • Follow hospice record-keeping protocols and consult or share appropriate information to your Volunteer Manager
