POSITION OVERVIEW: Desert Foothills is hiring a President. The President will play a critical role in the growth and success of our business by overseeing sales strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and serving as a champion of company culture. The President will be instrumental in shaping strategic direction, driving revenue performance, and ensuring operational excellence through a strong and unified leadership team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Business Growth
- Help lead and develop sales pipeline and backlog growth for design and install division
- Lead the development and execution of sales and client acquisition strategies to grow the maintenance division.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, developers, and industry professionals.
- Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive top-line growth.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to assess sales success and adjust strategies accordingly.
Leadership & Operations
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to departmental directors, and key managers.
- Facilitate alignment across maintenance and installation services to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Lead quarterly strategic planning and monthly executive team reviews.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability for designated departments.
Culture & Organizational Development
- Act as the primary culture champion, modeling the company’s core values and reinforcing them across the organization.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives through transparent leadership and people-first policies.
- Support talent development, leadership training, and succession planning.
- Ensure consistent communication and alignment from executive team down through all levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably within a boutique landscape firm.
- Proven success leading and scaling a high-performing sales organization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results while fostering a strong, collaborative company culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field (MBA a plus).
- Experience managing cross-functional operations in a high-growth service business.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, landscape project workflows and business systems (e.g., Aspire) and financial reporting tools.
