Margaret Howell is a contemporary British clothing designer who has worked successfully in men’s and women’s clothing for over five decades. Today, Margaret Howell clothes are sold worldwide with 12 own shops in Europe, over 70 outlets in Japan and an established online business.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Buying & Merchandising Department in the distribution of stock within the Company to maximise sales; acting as an internal liaison between the Retail and Distribution Teams to drive efficiency and support the fulfilment of the seasonal Merchandising Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Ownership of full product life cycle from allocation to full-price stores, through to off-price and liquidation

- Provide weekly sales and inventory reports to the wider business, taking appropriate action to replenish and redistribute stock to maximise sales

- Ownership of the Delivery Schedule, working closely with the Merchandisers and Production Team to ensure stock is delivered to store according to plan, and communicated to the wider business

- Liaise with the Distribution Centre, Stock & Logistics Specialist, and stores to ensure stock levels are accurate across all systems

- Provide replenishment forecasts to the Distribution Centre

- Upload and maintain accurate prices on the systems, including markdowns for full and off-price stores, in line with seasonal strategy

- Monitor continuity lines and reorder where appropriate

- Support Ecommerce and Customer Service Team as required

- Produce seasonal collection guides for retail training, and communicating any changes to the stores

- Contribute to the company’s sustainability objectives

- Attend cross departmental meetings, and execute tasks as required

- Support with team projects, and ad hoc admin

Role Requirements

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, numerical and analytical skills

- Acute attention to detail

- Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, look ups etc)

- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly

- Experience with SAP/ RMIS/ Supply Stream/ Shopify is advantageous

Under the design direction of Margaret Howell the company produces men's and women's clothing and an extensive household goods collection produced by specialist manufacturers in the UK and Italy. It's MHL. label was established in 2003 and is workwear inspired and European produced. Since 1999 the company has produced shirts and nightwear in its own North London factory.
