The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dependable Warehouse Driver Associate who enjoys being on the road, working with customers and being part of a hands-on branch team.
In this role, you’ll deliver HVAC and plumbing products to customers, vendors and other locations while also supporting warehouse operations. When you’re not making deliveries, you’ll help receive shipments, pick and prepare orders, stock inventory and keep products moving through the branch.
You’ll be an important connection between our branch and our customers, making sure the right products arrive safely, accurately and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Safely deliver products to customers, vendors and branch locations
- Provide friendly, professional service and communicate with customers throughout the delivery process
- Verify products for accuracy, secure loads and follow established delivery procedures
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness and condition of company vehicles
- Use GPS and mobile devices to complete routes efficiently and stay in communication with the branch
- Maintain required driver credentials and promptly report driving incidents or changes in license or certification status
- Support shipping, receiving, stocking and order fulfillment when working in the warehouse
- Accurately pick, prepare and organize products for customer orders and transfers
- Load, unload, move and stock products safely and efficiently
- Sort, label and store inventory according to established procedures
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies or damaged products
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed
- Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, accurately
- Operate forklifts, warehouse tools and material handling equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse and vehicle environment
- Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements and job site protocols
- Secure loads for transport and handle applicable materials according to established safety guidelines
- Maintain consistent alertness and safe work practices in this safety-sensitive position
- Use company systems for routine data entry, communication and documentation
- Work closely with customers, vendors, supervisors and branch team members to resolve issues and keep deliveries and orders moving
- Perform additional responsibilities as business and customer needs evolve
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in driving, warehousing or related functions
- Valid state driver’s license, minimum 1-year DOT certification, and insurable driving record
- Safe and dependable driving habits
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while on the road and as part of a team in the warehouse
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Comfortable using GPS, mobile devices and other business technology
- Ability to safely operate warehouse and material handling equipment
- Strong basic math and numerical skills
- Commitment to following established safety procedures

Deliveries are accurate and on time, products are handled safely and customers know they can count on you. You stay organized on the road, communicate with the branch and represent C&L professionally with every customer interaction.
Back at the branch, you’re ready to pitch in wherever needed to keep orders, inventory and products moving. You understand that whether you’re behind the wheel or in the warehouse, your work directly impacts the customer experience.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This full-time position may require 40+ hours per week and involves regular physical activity, including:
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs.
- Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily)
- Routine bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands, arms, and feet for equipment operation
- Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and twisting throughout the shift
- Visual demands include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and focus adjustment
