About this role

As a Strategic Relationship Coordinator, you will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing and growing existing portfolios, and helping customers achieve their financial goals through a range of investment and wealth products. Success in this role requires strong market knowledge, exceptional relationship management skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of risk management, regulatory compliance, and client service.

Position Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Manage projects as assigned by the Strategic Relationship Team and ensure the accurate and timely completion of tasks. Projects assigned may include research, correspondence or other work of the department. Independently gather information, test for reasonableness and analyze data. Make recommendations regarding change and solutions to issues or problems.

  • Independently seek out new learning / development opportunities to enhance job performance and skills.

  • Participate in internal discussions and feedback sessions around effective best practices for the Strategic Relationship Team.

  • Work with Platform Sales Team Management to coordinate the timely & accurate completion & distribution of quarterly reporting packages.

  • Relay a positive attitude about department initiatives and stand behind decisions of management.

  • Through advanced knowledge / use of PowerPoint and Excel, create and maintain broker/dealer meeting presentation decks, business plan updates, and internal presentations.

  • Coordinate the Strategic Relationship Team monthly newsletter.

Event Management

  • Work with internal JH Investment Management representatives to plan sales meetings, due diligence meetings, broker/dealer conferences and roadshows.

  • Support sponsored broker/dealer conferences to include selection of John Hancock representatives, filing appropriate CE, literature, restaurant recommendations, giveaways, and exhibit booths.

  • Support with preparing for and covering all events, meetings, home office trips, and conferences.

  • Coordinate logistics for on-site client meetings.

Technology/Analytical

  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly sales reports are accurate and on time.

  • Generate / create reports for senior management and other support function teams as requested, responsible for accurate and timely reports and providing executive summaries.

  • Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining conference salesforce campaigns.

  • Communicate campaign activity and follow up actions.

  • Work closely with the TSS on sales, activity, campaign reporting (Power BI).

  • Act as Salesforce admin, completing CRM needs and requests. Encourage and train to understand and utilize the CRM systems.

  • Work with Marketing to maintain inventory of marketing literature for home office use using the 4U platform.

  • Expertise of the following applications: Salesforce, Seismic, Power BI, 4U, all Office applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • FINRA licensed or within first 6 months.

  • Requires broad knowledge of the organization. Work is of a confidential nature, requiring a broad understanding of the company’s business, policies, and practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to represent the executive and team to others and to work with other top management.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and software applications unique to the business; Works with standard spreadsheet, database and word processing software packages. Ability to create and run macro commands to more efficiently utilize software packages is preferred.

  • Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly and appropriately.

  • Ability to work with various departments and personalities in a professional and customer focused manner.

Salary range is expected to be between

$53,250.00 USD - $88,750.00 USD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
