About this role
Main Tasks
Responsibilities:
- Uses a forklift and other powered or non-powered equipment to pull and ready product for shipment to customers or other company locations.
- Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Pulls and stages finished goods, and follows picking instructions for proper shipment preparation.
- Assures accuracy of product types and quantities for the customer's purchase order.
- Keeps inventory, warehouse/working areas, and machinery clean.
- Communicates product shortages and product damages to the Supervisor or Assistant.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Understand warehouse management systems. Proven ability to work independently, and accurately.
- Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and analyze Information
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Mathematical skills to calculate material needs
- Must speak, read, and write English to satisfy job requirements.
- Forklift certification required
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
