Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Job Purpose
The role focuses on System level validation of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, ePowertrain, charging systems, diagnostics, controls, and software features under laboratory and real-world operating conditions. Testing on Labcar, HIL platform, Motor Dyno.
Key roles and responsibilities
Component & System Software Validation
- Validate electrical and ePowertrain functions at the component, system, and LabCar levels.
- Validate component-level functions of the BMS, VCU, Telematics System, and Instrument Cluster.
- Validate HV system functions, diagnostics, and system interfaces for the LMM vehicle portfolio.
- Develop and maintain LabCars for all vehicle variants.
- Develop HIL (dSPACE) systems and the corresponding modular infrastructure.
HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) & LabCar Testing
- Develop test scripts based on system-level test cases using a test management tool (e.g., AutomationDesk).
- Develop test cases in alignment with System Integration and cross-functional teams, and enhance the quality of both positive and negative test cases.
- Automate test scripts to execute test campaigns overnight and during weekends.
- Integrate plant models by mapping the appropriate I/Os and configuring the HIL system.
- Execute test cases covering electric vehicle functions, diagnostics, network management, telematics, and related features.
- Log and analyze test data using tools such as Vector CANoe.
- Report issues to the System Integration and Vehicle Validation teams.
- Perform FLA (First-Level Analysis) and root cause analysis using test log data.
- Develop visually appealing GUIs for multiple systems and generate test triggers using tools such as ControlDesk.
- Generate and manage test reports, ensuring 100% requirements coverage.
- Drive test campaigns across multiple test platforms, ensure 24/7 HIL operational efficiency, identify and reproduce failures, and automate test cases.
Leadership & Reporting
- Accountable for software validation delivery on LabCar and HIL platforms.
- Lead a team of 2-3 contract employees and drive team productivity.
- Publish daily dashboards and software validation status reports.
Vehicle Function Validation
- Develop and execute validation plans for vehicle functions.
- Verify drive modes, reverse mode, limp-home mode, diagnostics, and warning strategies.
- Validate instrument cluster indications and driver information messages.
- Perform fault injection testing and verify fail-safe responses.
- Execute feature validation under varying environmental and operating conditions.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
- Use CAN tools to monitor vehicle communication networks.
- Analyze CAN and diagnostic data logs.
- Debug vehicle issues and coordinate with design teams to perform root cause analysis.
- Raise, track, and validate the closure of defects using issue management systems.

B.E / B. Tech- Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics / Electronics & Telecommunication
General Requirements
- Hands on Experience on working on DSpace/VT System HIL.
- Experience/Expertise in Tool usage for Test Scripts & GUI – Control Desk, Automation Desk, vTESTstudio
- Experience in working on Tools like CANoe, CANape for Test Data Log Analysis.
- Experience in developing Test Cases in a Closed Loop Control Systems/Vehicle Systems
- Basic Electrical Hardware Knowledge in mapping and configuring the HIL system IOs
