About this role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

To design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior  
Benchmarking of lighting technologies 
POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards / requirements with in project time line.
Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues 
Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures 
Knowledge in Optics & CAE Thermal, Vibration & Condensations 
Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics
Review & release technical specifications & other documentations 
Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T 
Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of  tools used in  DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools , 
Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.

Experience

5 to 7 years

Industry Preferred

Any other OEM or Tier I

Qualifications

BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering
BE/B Tech Automobile engineering
BE/B Tech Mechatronics Engineering 

General Requirements

Interfacing with all inter dept teams right from marketing to service as so to start from understanding the marketing requirements and till service related activities. i.e., from start to end of project

Abreast on latest technologies across industry

Maintaining quality level targets as per agreement

Adhering to committed timelines 

Program management & detailed documentation 

Open to short/medium term travel on need basis, across India & overseas

 

Very Good Vehicle system knowledge in Lighting optics & electronics and other E&E aggregates in the vehicle
Market research & Industry trend analysis through tools like benchmarking, networking, conferences, papers, etc 
Design thinking through collaboration with internal studio, experts across industries & suppliers for amalgamating the technology into the product 
Expertise in Catia V5 (must), Catia V6 3DX (added advantage) & Optics Simulation Software like SPEOS (optional)
Knowledge in electronics & LEDs
Program management skills 
Basic level knowledge in Vehicle electronics
