Are you an experienced repair professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for safety, quality and operational excellence? We are looking for a Repair Team Lead to lead our team of Structural Repair Specialists and drive the performance of our repair operations.


About the role

As Repair Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all structural repair activities within the yard. You will ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer, regulatory and company standards.


You will lead a team of Structural Repair Specialists, plan daily activities, monitor operational performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with the Yard Manager and other stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our customers.


Key responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Plan, prioritize and coordinate structural repair activities.
  • Monitor workloads and resource requirements to optimize capacity and productivity.
  • Ensure repair estimates, work orders and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage the effective use of tools, equipment and materials.

People Leadership

  • Supervise, coach and develop team members.
  • Allocate work and resources to achieve operational objectives.
  • Conduct performance discussions and support employee development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure repairs meet customer, company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and operational documentation.
  • Support audits, inspections and corrective actions where required.

Safety

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSSE requirements.
  • Ensure risks are assessed and managed appropriately.
  • Support the reporting and investigation of incidents, near misses and safety observations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and controls.
  • Support standardization and digitalization initiatives within the function.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated experience in repair operations, container repair or a related technical environment.
  • Previous experience leading or coordinating a team.
  • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of safety procedures and operational controls.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of operational systems such as TMS, GMS and YMS is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
