Senior Project Manager (Consultancy) - Retail Sector

The project: Due to our continued growth, we require a project manager who will be responsible for the delivery of multiple fast-paced property investments programmes for major FMCG retail clients. This role sits in our consultancy business, specifically the commercial private sector so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their experience beyond retail in the delivery of fit-out and relocation projects for major corporate clients.  

You will join our team of UK wide Project Managers, delivering several different investment types including, new store fit outs, extensions, refurbishments, planned asset renewals and initiative roll outs. As Senior Project Manager, you will have sole responsibility for the delivery several projects, ranging in value from £100k - £20m each. Reporting into the Mace Account/Programme lead. The successful candidate will manage projects within a geographic area, ideally centred to your home location, however some UK wide or European travel should be expected.  

You’ll be responsible for:

• Applying technical H&S expertise and promote an inclusive culture.
• Delivering project plans from inception to construction.
• Managing tasks and deliverables supporting senior leaders.
• Overseeing budgets, risks and long‑term functional development.
• Managing design and consultant teams collaboratively.
• Managing teams and stakeholders to achieve KPIs.
• Networking and drive best‑practice adoption across programmes.

You’ll need to have:

• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.  
• Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the retail sector. 
• Property or infrastructure project management expertise.  
• Commercial and financial acumen.
