Why This Role Matters

This role leads Ma’aden’s OT infrastructure, hosting, and connectivity environments to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance industrial technology services across sites. It owns the operation and lifecycle of OT compute, storage, virtualization, edge platforms, hosted OT systems, and industrial network connectivity that enable safe operations, digital initiatives, data platforms, and enterprise integration.

What You Will Deliver

Manage OT Infrastructure & Hosting Operations

  • Operate and maintain OT servers, storage, virtualization, hosting platforms, and edge compute environments across industrial sites.
  • Ensure availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of hosted OT systems including MES, LIMS, historians, and edge nodes.
  • Execute routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, backups, lifecycle management, and infrastructure health monitoring activities.
  • Ensure OT hosting services support operational continuity, plant availability, and approved digital enablement requirements.

Oversee OT Networks & Connectivity

  • Operate and maintain OT network infrastructure across plant, site, and industrial control environments.
  • Ensure stable, resilient, and secure connectivity between OT systems, plant networks, data platforms, and upstream enterprise systems.
  • Apply standardized network configurations, segmentation principles, connectivity patterns, and performance monitoring practices.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, site engineering, and enterprise connectivity teams to maintain reliable OT-IT integration.

Drive Standardization & Modernization

  • Implement OT infrastructure, hosting, connectivity, and edge platform standards across sites and operational environments.
  • Support modernization of legacy hardware, operating systems, virtualized environments, industrial networks, and hosted OT platforms.
  • Execute infrastructure upgrades in line with OT roadmaps, architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and site readiness plans.
  • Promote reusable configurations, common operating procedures, and consistent support models across OT environments.

Ensure Reliability & Operational Resilience

  • Implement redundancy, backup, recovery, monitoring, incident response, and operational resilience practices for OT infrastructure and hosted systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents impacting availability, performance, reliability, connectivity, or hosted OT services.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring OT infrastructure, hosting, and connectivity issues.
  • Ensure operational support processes protect plant continuity, safety, cyber resilience, and agreed service levels.

Lead Team, Vendors & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead the OT infrastructure, hosting, and connectivity team in delivering reliable operational support and improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with cloud, connectivity, cybersecurity, platform, data, application, and site teams to resolve dependencies and execution risks.
  • Manage vendor support, service delivery, technical escalations, maintenance windows, and infrastructure delivery commitments.
  • Maintain clear operating procedures, service dashboards, risk logs, and stakeholder communications for OT infrastructure services.
 

What Success Looks Like

  • OT infrastructure, hosting platforms, and connectivity services operate reliably with strong availability, performance, and capacity control.
  • Hosted OT systems such as MES, LIMS, historians, and edge platforms are maintained, patched, upgraded, and monitored effectively.
  • Industrial network connectivity is stable, resilient, secure, and aligned with enterprise OT standards.
  • Legacy infrastructure modernization and lifecycle activities are executed with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Incidents are resolved quickly, recurring issues are addressed through root-cause actions, and operational resilience improves over time.

     

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Master’s Degree is preferred.
 

Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in OT infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, hosting, connectivity, network operations, or technology operations roles.
  • Hands-on experience with OT servers, storage, virtualization, edge compute, industrial networks, MES, LIMS, historians, and site-based OT environments.
  • Experience leading operational teams, vendors, incident response, infrastructure lifecycle activities, and reliability improvement initiatives in industrial or asset-intensive environments.
