Class A CDL Local Driver – Night Shift Dedicated Grocery | Zero Touch-Freight
Compensation: Up to $0.60 CPM + $25 Short-Haul + Weekly Floor Protections
Key Position Traits & Schedule
- Daily Home Time: Get home every single day after your shift.
- Shift Expectations: Dedicated overnight operations running a 6-day work week (34-hour weekly reset serves as your off day).
- Weekend & Holiday Demands: Mandatory coverage for weekends and all calendar holidays.
- Freight Handling: 100% zero-touch deliveries hauling dry and temperature-controlled grocery freight via reefer and dry trailers. Live unloading, loading, and drop-and-hook duties apply.
- Weekly Distance: Logging between 1,100 to 1,400 miles per week across the KC metro area.
Pay Breakdown & Driver Incentives
- Progressive Mileage Rates: $0.49 CPM (0–3 mos), $0.51 CPM (3–9 mos), $0.52 CPM (9–12 mos), $0.54 CPM (12–18 mos), $0.55 CPM (18–24 mos), $0.57 CPM (24–36 mos), up to $0.60 CPM (36+ mos).
- Student/Trainee Stays: $650/week during training phase.
- Safety & Performance Bonus: Eligible for extra earnings through Swift's Performance Safety Bonus structure.
- Accessorial Compensation: $25 for runs under 50 miles; $10 for 1st stop, $15 for every additional stop.
- Guaranteed Safety Net: $1,100 & $1,200 weekly guarantees over your initial 3 months post-solo dispatch.

Eligibility & Screening Requirements
- Account Background: Welcomes entry-level Trainees through seasoned First Seat Class A CDL drivers.
- General Carrier Standard: Accepting unlicensed candidates (trainees), CDL holders with 0 experience, drivers with 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months within the last 5 years.
- DOT & Drug Compliance: Must meet all standard DOT physical criteria and pass pre-employment hair follicle and urine screens.
