Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Principal MMIC Design Engineer to join our RF and microwave design team.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the development of next-generation MMIC products for demanding applications in wireless infrastructure, aerospace & defense, satellite communications, radar, and high-performance test systems. This position offers the opportunity to drive product development from concept through production, working with world-class process technologies (in-house and abroad) and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative RF solutions with industry-leading performance. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in MMIC design with strong problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to lead complex development programs. Location: On-site.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop state-of-the-art GaN and GaAs MMICs, including PA, LNA, Switches, Attenuators, Phase Shifters, Mixers
- Lead MMIC product development from architecture definition through production release.
- Perform RF, microwave, and electromagnetic simulations using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Develop innovative circuit topologies to achieve aggressive performance targets for output power, efficiency, bandwidth, linearity, NF, reliability.
- Execute schematic capture, layout design, EM verification, and design reviews.
- Define and oversee characterization plans, wafer probing, and packaged device evaluation.
- Correlate measured and simulated results and drive design optimization.
- Support product qualification, yield enhancement, and manufacturing transfer activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple programs.
- Collaborate closely with packaging, systems, product, test, applications, and operations teams.
- Interface directly with customers to understand requirements and support technical discussions when required.

Qualifications:

- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Engineering, RF Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of industry experience in MMIC design
- Strong expertise in GaN and GaAs HEMT technologies. Experience in CMOS SOI is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience designing RF and microwave circuits operating from MHz through millimeter-wave frequencies.
- Extensive experience with Keysight ADS, RFpro, Cadence Virtuoso, HFSS, Momentum, or equivalent EM simulation tools.
- Thorough understanding of large-signal design techniques, stability analysis, noise optimization, linearization techniques, thermal management.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and reliability mechanisms.
- Experience designing products above 20 GHz, including Ka-band and beyond.
- Expertise in high-power GaN amplifier design for radar, SATCOM, or defense applications.
- Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies and RF module integration.
- Track record of successfully bringing MMIC products into volume production.
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to influence across functions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
- Effective communicator (French and English) with strong presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of driving projects independently.
