Senior Learning & Development Specialist
Job
Description:
We are seeking
a highly engaged and experienced Senior Learning and Development Specialist to
join our Global L&D team. This role
is responsible for designing and delivering impactful learning solutions that
strengthen manager capability, enhance organizational effectiveness, and
improve employee engagement across a global workforce, in line with business
goals and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging learning content for instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning formats aligned with organizational priorities.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual manager training programs, learning workshops, and development sessions.
- Lead the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of core learning programs.
- Partner with internal teams to create learning and HR-related content for employee-facing platforms.
- Plan and support employee engagement initiatives that align with learning and development priorities.
- Contribute to initiatives and programs that support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
- Partner with HR and business leaders to assess learning needs and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Use data, feedback, and program outcomes to measure learning effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
- Administer and support the Learning Management System, including course setup, learner assignments, records management, reporting, troubleshooting, and ongoing system maintenance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Learning and Development.
- Strong instructional design and content development experience.
- Experience facilitating training programs and workshops; manager or leadership development experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with learning management systems, such as Workday and Cornerstone.
- Professional presence and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, including executives.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to complete other assignments and responsibilities as directed.
- Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
Key competencies and skills:
- Instructional design and adult learning expertise.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills across in-person and virtual environments.
- Learning needs analysis and solution design.
- Stakeholder partnership, collaboration, and communication.
- Project management, learning technology proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with course development and authoring tools, such as Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, and iSpring.
The Salary Range for this position is $100k – $120K. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
