Role:
MACOM is seeking a proven, hands-on Quality Engineer to
proactively lead the Ops Quality function for RF Products operations in the
Morgan Hill area of California. To be successful, this person will be
responsible for developing, implementing, executing, and improving the
Production Quality Management system inclusive of change management,
nonconforming material management, SPC, structured problem solving, and
continuous improvement. You will work with all levels of a global organization.
Job duties:
- Manage Nonconformance Process/System, Material Review Board, 8D Closure, Internal Audit, Calibration, Visual Inspection Failure Catalogue.
- Apply Quality performance metrics and data to identify and drive quality improvement projects across sites. Drive permanent resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Lead and support AS9100D and ISO9001 Quality Management activities (audits, quality management system).
- Direct, manage and coordinate activities of cross-functional groups to achieve quality requirements.
- Work to quickly identify and diagnose quality issues during production.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610
- Develop and maintain the incoming inspection process (procedures, equipment, programs, travelers).
- Develop and maintain Quality Inspection procedures and Training – Certification of Quality Inspectors.Engage directly with customers on operations quality issues and metrics reporting.

Job Qualifications/requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Engineering or other technical discipline. A Master’s Degree is a plus minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Operational experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. RF Products Assembly/SMT experience a plus.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in AS9100D and ISO9001 Quality Systems and Continual Improvement methods.
- Demonstrated proficiency with common quality tools/approaches including 8D, FMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, etc.
- The ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment at a detailed execution level.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Demonstrated capability of interacting with senior leaders through the organization.
- Ability to work in large, complex, global environment. Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.
Desired/Preferred Skills or Certifications:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain critical deadlines
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other Associates and Senior Management.
- SQL or other programming skillset
- Experience with statistical / data analysis software such as JMP.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work autonomously, with minimal direction, and are self-motivated and results driven.
- Ability to analyze data/feedback and provide insights to continually improve processes.
- Experience with AS9100D and ISO9001 certification.
The Salary Range for this position is $59,000 – $97,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
