Manager, Environmental Health and Safety
MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Centers, Telecommunication, Industrial and Defense application. The focus of this position is to manage, develop and maintain sustainable Environmental, Health and Safety programs that ensure operational compliance in a Semiconductor industry. The primary objectives are to provide and maintain a safe working environment for our FAB, manufacturing, R&D and general administrative operations in North America. The work of the EHS manager will also include industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance-related activities. This position monitors industrial health compliance and will interact with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation programs as well as the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. The primary objectives are to protect employees, customers and the environment by identifying, controlling or eliminating risks and hazards that could cause injury and illness or cause harm to the environment.  The primary responsibilities of the EHS Manager are to oversee, support, and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements applicable to MACOM’s operations in North America.

MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Centers, Telecommunication, Industrial and Defense applications.  The focus of this position is to develop and maintain sustainable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system that ensure operational compliance with company, customer, and global governmental EHS rules and regulations.  The primary objectives are to protect employees, customers and the environment by identifying, controlling or eliminating risks and hazards that could cause injury and illness or cause harm to the environment.  The primary responsibilities of the EHS Manager are to oversee, support, and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements applicable to MACOM’s operations in North America.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of robust EHS programs and controls to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Integrate EHS requirements into site-wide frameworks, including processes, systems, and training programs.
Lead the ISO 14001 and 45001 EHS Management System, and its continuous improvement.
Partner with internal teams and external providers to deliver world-class safety performance, particularly across construction and operational activities.
Serve as a trusted EHS advisor, providing expert guidance on risk management, regulatory compliance, and transparent reporting.
Drive Occupational Safety excellence by leading critical programs such as Process Safety, Electrical Safety, Fire Protection, and Emergency Response.
Collaborate cross-functionally to embed EHS priorities into daily operations, aligning with broader site strategy and performance goals.
Establish and monitor EHS metrics and KPIs, delivering actionable insights to support continuous improvement and leadership reporting.
Build EHS capabilities across through training, engagement initiatives, and strong safety governance structures.
Ensure comprehensive risk assessments, hazard analysis, and technical evaluations for new operations, equipment, and materials.
Champion a high-performance safety culture by leading audits, investigations, regulatory interactions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage injury and incident reviews, root cause analysis, and knowledge share communication.
Support Workers Compensation claims to include investigations and case management.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and municipal regulations.

Qualifications
CIH, CSP or equivalent professional certification or willingness to work towards preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database applications (SAP a plus)

Education   
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health or Safety or related field.

Experience 
Extensive knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and policies
Developed and improved an EHS Management System
Extensive knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and policies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Skilled in hazardous materials management
