Equipment Logistics Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a technician to proactively pursue success in all logistical aspects of the equipment engineering team. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated reporting to equipment engineering management to support equipment engineering and technicians. Duties to include, but not limited to inventory control and ordering, shipping and receiving of parts, ordering and inventory control of all process gases.

Growth potential in this position includes preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment, filling of materials in the processing of semiconductors and high purity gas cylinder maintenance.

SHIFT

Full-time day shift. 8 hour days Monday-Friday

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Inventory control
  • Updates inventory database to reflect parts on site.
  • Uses Microsoft office suite to manage spare parts inventory. This includes, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc
  • Uses resources planning software (SAP) to order parts.
  • Works with management and engineering to define min/max quantities for critical spare parts.
  • Manages high purity gas inventory.
  • Maintains necessary records, reports, written and verbal pass downs, parts inventory-reordering parts.
  • Order fulfillment and delivery to equipment technicians.
  • Organizes stockroom area; sort, labels parts and shelving in designated locations.
  • Proactively drives safe practices within the factory, supports and follows site safety policies.
  • Works in clean room environment wearing clean room garments occasionally.
  • Self-starter: Independently learns and can be trained by others on the job, manages time by priorities. 
  • Communicates day-to-day events, direction, written and verbally, through logs and pass downs.
  • Excels within a changing environment while working with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives in support of production and engineering – customer oriented.
  • Positively influences and supports others to succeed in their roles.

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics or data entry experience preferred.
  • Experience in inventory management. Including cycle counting and auditing.
  • Technical experience using Microsoft excel and other data management systems.
  • Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues and tasks according to production needs.
  • Good written and verbal skills, possess good keyboard and computer skills.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs, works in awkward positions as necessary, walks, stands, or sits for up to 8 hrs.

RSU Eligible  

This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance. 

Hourly Range

The Hourly Range for this position is $28.00 – $41.00 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
