Position Overview: 
MACOM is seeking a Product Line Manager (PLM) to manage semiconductor products line for rapidly-evolving AI and cloud data center market. Product lines include laser drivers, transimpedance amplifiers and CDRs for optical connectivity and signal conditioners for copper connectivity technologies.

The PLM will utilize their technical and business expertise to translate market and customer needs into product definition, establish actionable go-to-market strategies, and propose new product investments. Responsible for revenue and demand forecasting, product line P&L, support of the sales organization and customer interactions.

This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing. You will work closely with business unit leadership, engineering, sales, marketing, and operations for the success of the product line.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for P&L of semiconductor products targeted for optical and copper connectivity in data center applications including laser drivers, TIA, CDR and copper equalizers
Define next generation products (specs, features, etc.) based on future customer needs, innovative ideas, competitive analysis, standards trends, marketing and R&D inputs, cost constraints, etc.
Assess market trends and market sizing (TAM/SAM)
Work closely with sales, visit key customers to understand their challenges/needs and promote new products.
Work closely with R&D and operations throughout the design phase and until production release to assure compliance to customer needs.

Key Qualifications, Competencies & Skills Required: 
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required, Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) a plus. 
5+ years related semiconductor product management, marketing and/or applications engineering experience.
System level experience with Networking technologies (Laser Drivers, TIAs, DSPs, Equalizers).
Knowledge of analog and mixed signal circuitry a plus.
Able to work in and foster a teamwork environment with a demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across multiple functional areas.
Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough command of the English language, written as well as verbal.
Willing to travel over 20% of time including international travel.

RSU Eligible  
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance. 
 
Salary Range  
The Salary Range for this position is $195,000 – $288,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
