Title: EEE Components Reliability Engineer
Job Overview: An EEE (Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical) Components Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of EEE components used in various systems. This involves evaluating new and existing parts, conducting failure analysis, and developing strategies to prevent or mitigate failures. They collaborate closely with suppliers, design teams, and test labs to ensure the highest standards of reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and existing EEE components for suitability and reliability based on specific application requirements.
- Investigate the root causes of component failures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Use statistical and probabilistic methods to predict the reliability of components and systems.
- Conduct accelerated life tests to simulate the operating conditions of components and assess their durability and reliability.
- Collaborate with design teams to incorporate reliability considerations into the design process and ensure that components are designed for long-term performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of EEE components.
- Communicate reliability findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and design engineers.
Key Competencies and Skills Required:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of EEE components, semiconductor physics, and failure mechanisms.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot failures and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering software and tools, such as CAD, CAE, and reliability analysis software.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects effectively, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Degree in mechanical, electrical, materials, or aerospace engineering.
- Experience: 2+ years prior experience in reliability engineering, semiconductor physics, or related fields.
- Certifications: Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or other relevant certifications may be beneficial.
