Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) is seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Assistant for Aston Park Health Care Center, a senior living community in Asheville, North Carolina. LSC is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality senior living, health care, and supportive services across North Carolina. Are you passionate about brightening lives, building community, and creating memorable experiences? Aston Park Health Care Center is looking for a dedicated, energetic Life Enrichment Assistant to help residents stay engaged, connected, and fulfilled.

Position Details

Pay rate: $16 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday - Saturday
Additional pay option: $2 more per hour if the teammate opts out of benefits
Benefits eligibility: Medical, paid time off, and other eligible benefits begin after 30 days
Medical coverage: Free medical insurance option available with $0 premium

Key Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and leading group and individual enrichment activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and needs.
Provide encouragement, companionship, and support to residents during daily programs, special events, and outings, including transportation assistance when needed.
Respect residents’ rights, privacy, preferences, and personal choices in all interactions and activities.
Contribute to a warm, welcoming, and caring environment by modeling LSC’s values and high standards of service.
Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing education as assigned.
Provide additional support in Nursing and Assisted Living areas, including one-on-one activities, mail distribution, and resident escort assistance.
Support Adult Day Services by maintaining records, monitoring dietary needs, assisting with meals, and helping with activities of daily living.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with audio-visual equipment or vehicle equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to assist with resident transfers and transportation.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and perform bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.
