About the role:
We are looking for a Revenue & Contract Accounting professional to join our Mumbai, India team. The role will focus on contract management, revenue recognition, deferred revenue reconciliation, revenue adjustments, and month-end close across multiple entities.
What you’ll do:
- Contract Management: Create and maintain contracts in NetSuite (NS) across all entities, ensuring accurate and complete contract setup.
- Deferred Revenue Reconciliation: Perform monthly deferred revenue reconciliations across all entities and investigate and resolve variances.
- Revenue Adjustments: Prepare revenue adjustment workings for contract terminations, reductions, fund swaps, and other revenue-related changes.
- Revenue Recognition: Manage contract fulfilment activities supporting monthly Advisory and Bespoke revenue recognition.
- Month-End Close: Prepare and post revenue journals during month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition.
- Salesforce & NetSuite Coordination: Update Salesforce opportunities with the corresponding NetSuite contract numbers and maintain data consistency across both systems.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Revenue Accounting, Contract Accounting, Financial Accounting, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, particularly contract management, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and journal entries.
- Good understanding of revenue recognition principles and month-end closing activities.
- Experience handling revenue adjustments, including contract terminations, reductions, amendments, and fund reallocations.
- Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and perform reconciliations.
- Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM/ERP systems and maintaining data accuracy across multiple platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
