Introduction

What’s the role?

To provide sessions which support babies and children’s development, encourage parent-child attachment, focus on outdoor learning, and allow babies and children to build a good framework for life and its challenges from the youngest years.

To deliver EYFS-focused group sessions for babies, children and their families in Family Hubs and other delivery sites as directed by the line manager, with a particular focus on delivering learning outcomes.  To additionally deliver some sessions online as required.

To lead on the facilitation of evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 and group basis across Family Hubs and spoke sites.

What we’re looking for

You will use your own initiative to deliver sessions in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You will be able to adapt session delivery to meet the needs of a range of diverse communities.

You will be passionate about working with families and children to reduce escalation of need by accessing early intervention service within the community.

Location

The job is primarily based within the community across Lewisham's Family Hubs and associated Network Sites.

Special conditions

  • Possessing a childcare qualification at level three or above or other equivalent qualification; or possess recent significant experience in working with babies or young children and be willing to attend training within 6 months of appointment.
  • Weekend working is required for this job.
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check
  • This is a 1 year fixed term post

Salary

£32,442 - £33,384 per annum (SC4)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
