About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer to teach online graduate courses in our School Psychology EdS Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and proven experience as a school psychologist practicing within diverse K-12 public settings. This position plays a crucial role in training graduate students in the knowledge and competencies needed to become skilled practitioners across various NASP practice model domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging online course content in conjunction with the Director of the School Psychology EdS program
  • Facilitate critical discussions and authentic interactions in an online learning environment to promote student engagement and success
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to graduate students, helping foster core competency development for licensure and exemplary practice
  • Collaborate with the Director of the School Psychology EdS program to enhance the curriculum and ensure alignment with current best practices in school psychology
  • Assess graduate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth
  • Stay current with research and trends in school psychology and education
  • Maintain a 24 hour course load across the 12 month, non-tenure track position

Qualifications:

  • PhD in School Psychology required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in a public school district
  • TN Professional School Services Personnel license preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Innovative and collaborative
  • Experience with online teaching platforms and adult learning principles preferred
